Being located in the central part of the country and having two mountain ranges, the Chilean capital has a temperate, almost Mediterranean climate. DRESS CODE
Participants are advised to wear semi-formal and comfortable clothing, given that in November, Chile will be in spring, and as the day progresses there may be hot moments during the day.

The currency of Chile is the Chilean peso. Internationally recognised foreign currencies can be exchanged at commercial banks and currency exchange agencies. Credit cards are accepted in most hotels, restaurants and shops. Banks are open from Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 14:00 hours.
The current exchange rate of the Chilean currency is approximately 808 Chilean pesos to one US dollar (average year 2023 until 24 May); The exchange rate varies daily.

It is the responsibility of each delegate to arrange their own transportation from Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport in Santiago to the accomodation place. Notwithstanding, before leaving the Airport, there will be a duly indicated meeting point where bilingual Customs personnel will deliver guidance related with transportation options. To enter Chile, attendees must present only their identification document, either identity card or passport.
Depending on the country of origin, a Visa will also be required (check here the countries that require Visa). If you are a citizen of South America, the European Union, the United States, Canada or Australia, you do not need a tourist Visa
The processing of the Visa ("Transitional Stay Permit" - former tourist Visa) is done through the electronic platform SAC Ciudadano (https://tramites.minrel.gov.cl/) by completing the form and uploading the following required documentation to the system:
Note: The Consul is empowered to request additional documents and a personal interview with the interested party, requesting that he/she presents all original documentation. The submission of the documents does not oblige the consular authority to grant the entry permit to Chile.
If the application is approved, the Consulate will send you instructions for the payment of the permit, giving you 30 days to make it. Subsequently, a payment receipt will be sent.
The electronic Visa will be sent from the Mission's official e-mail to the personal e-mail address provided by the user. From that moment on, the user has 90 days to travel or enter the country. It is the obligation of the user to print the Permit and carry it with his/her passport when entering the country.

Remember that if you are bringing animal or plant products into Chile, you must declare them to the Agriculture and Livestock Service (SAG).
It should be noted that, by law, it is not possible to stay in the country or change immigration status after the event. Likewise, no assistance will be provided for the issuance of intermediate Visas required for stopovers in other countries during the arrival and departure process.
