Nelson Brens ASAPRA
Mr. Nelson Brens graduated in Accounting from the University of Technology of Santiago - UTESA, and authorized by Decree 167-93 as a Public Accountant. He has a Master's Degree in Senior Management with a Finance Specialization from the Technological Institute of Santo Domingo – INTEC. Authorized Customs Agent Resolution 402-97 of August 1997. In his professional career he has held various positions, including: Financial Director, Executive Vice President, Head of Interinstitutional Relations and International Relations of the Dominican Association of Customs Agents – ADAA. He has served as President of the Dominican Association of Customs Agents – ADAA in the period 2016 – 2018 and the Vice Presidency for the 2022 – 2024 term. He assumed the Vice Presidency of the Central America and Caribbean Area of the International Association of Professional Customs Agents – ASAPRA for the 2021 – 2022 management successful management in which important achievements were achieved for the profession and for our national Organization.
In December 2022 he was elected President of ASAPRA for the period 2022 – 2025, leading the Board that has the following fundamental pillars within its Work Plan: Technical, legal, technological, organizational and administrative Institutional Strengthening. Strengthening cooperation ties with related institutions, unions and associations. Identification, Formulation, Evaluation and Execution of Projects to meet institutional objectives. Expand international academic exchange, with agreements between Universities and Technical Institutes. Design and execute work strategies that generate better development of the Association's activities
